Store Policies
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Quality Business Consultant collects when you visit this store or buy a business plan template, financial model, or company report, how that information is used, and the choices you have about it.
The short version. This store collects the information it needs to sell you a digital file and deliver it: your name, email address, billing address, and what you bought. Your card number is handled by the payment processor and never reaches this website. Nothing is sold, rented, or traded to anyone. You can ask for a copy of your data or ask for it to be deleted at any time by emailing Dr. Paul directly.
The full detail is below, because a summary is not a policy.
1. Who we are
Quality Business Consultant is the online store operated by Dr. Paul Borosky, DBA, MBA, based in Deltona, Florida. This store sells downloadable business plan templates, financial projection models, company financial reports, and related business planning products to customers across the United States and Canada.
This policy applies to the website at qualitybusinessconsultant.com. Dr. Paul also operates QualityBusinessPlan.com, which has its own policy. Buying a template here and hiring Dr. Paul there are separate transactions.
In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Quality Business Consultant. "You" means the person visiting or buying from this store.
2. What we collect
We collect two kinds of information: what you give us on purpose, and what your browser sends automatically.
Information you give us
| What | When | Why we need it |
|---|---|---|
| Name | At checkout | To create your order and your download account |
| Email address | At checkout, or when you request a free download | To send your receipt, your download link, and support replies |
| Billing address | At checkout | Required by the payment processor to verify the card and calculate tax |
| Phone number | Optional at checkout, or if you call or text us | To reach you about your order if email fails |
| Order history | Automatically, once you buy | So you can re-download your files any time without paying again |
| Account password | If you create an account | Stored encrypted. We cannot read it and will never ask you for it |
| Anything you write to us | Email, text, contact form, or phone | To answer your question |
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this store logs technical information when you visit:
- Your IP address and approximate location, at the city level
- Your browser type, device type, and operating system
- The pages you view on this site and how long you spend on them
- The site or search that referred you here
- The date and time of your visit
This is used to keep the store running, spot fraud and abuse, and understand which products people are looking for. It is not used to build a personal profile of you.
3. Payment information
Your card number never touches this website. When you check out, your payment details go directly to the payment processor over an encrypted connection. We never see, store, or have access to your full card number, your CVV security code, or your bank login.
Payments on this store are processed by third party providers who are PCI DSS compliant and maintain their own privacy policies:
- PayPal. See the PayPal privacy statement.
- Stripe. See the Stripe privacy policy.
Edit before publishing: delete whichever processor above is not actually connected to your WooCommerce checkout, and add any that is missing.
What we do receive back from the processor is limited to what we need to fulfill and support the order: whether the payment succeeded, the amount, the date, the last four digits of the card, and the billing name and address.
4. How we use your information
We use what we collect for these purposes and no others:
- To deliver what you bought. Generating your download link, emailing your receipt, and keeping your files available in your account.
- To support you. Answering questions, fixing a file that will not open, and honoring the 7 day money back guarantee on Company Reports.
- To run the store. Processing payments, calculating sales tax where it applies, keeping records for accounting, and preventing fraudulent orders.
- To improve the store. Understanding which products and pages people use so we can build better templates and write clearer product descriptions.
- To send email you asked for. If you opt in, occasional emails about new templates, business planning guidance, and offers. Every one has an unsubscribe link. We do not add you to a marketing list simply because you bought something.
- To meet legal obligations. Tax records, and responding to a valid legal request.
What we never do. We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade it. We do not share your email address with other companies for their own marketing. We do not use your name or business in a testimonial without asking you first.
5. Cookies and tracking
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This store uses them in three ways.
Strictly necessary cookies
These make the store work. They remember what is in your shopping cart, keep you signed in to your account, and secure the checkout. The store cannot function without them, so they cannot be turned off.
Analytics cookies
These help us understand how people use the store: which templates get viewed, where visitors come from, and where they get stuck. We use Google Analytics through Google Site Kit. Google's practices are described in the Google privacy policy, and you can opt out entirely with the Google Analytics opt out browser add on.
Advertising cookies
If advertising tags are active on this store, they may be used to measure which ads lead to purchases and to show relevant ads on other platforms. Where a Meta Pixel is in use, see the Meta privacy policy.
Edit before publishing: confirm which analytics and advertising tags are actually installed. Delete any named above that are not running, and add any that are. Describing a tool you do not use is a compliance problem in itself.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break the cart and checkout. Most browsers also offer a Do Not Track setting. There is currently no industry standard for how sites should respond to it, so this store does not respond to Do Not Track signals.
6. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers that make the store run, and only what each one needs to do its job. Each is bound to keep it confidential and to use it only for that purpose.
| Provider type | What they receive |
|---|---|
| Payment processors | Your name, billing address, email, and payment details, handled directly by them |
| Web hosting | Everything stored on the site, as a function of hosting it |
| Email delivery | Your name and email address, to send receipts and download links |
| Analytics | Anonymized usage data, not your name or order details |
| Accountant and tax authorities | Transaction records as required by law |
We may also disclose information if required by a subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process, or where necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property. If this business is ever sold or merged, customer records may transfer as part of that transaction, and you will be notified before any change to how your information is handled.
7. How long we keep it
- Order and transaction records: at least seven years, because tax law requires it.
- Your account and download library: for as long as your account is open, so you can re-download files you paid for.
- Email marketing lists: until you unsubscribe, and then only a suppression record so we do not email you again by mistake.
- Support emails and messages: generally up to three years.
- Website analytics: according to the retention setting in the analytics tool, typically 14 to 26 months.
8. How we protect it
- The entire site runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
- Payment card data is handled entirely by PCI DSS compliant processors and never stored on this site.
- Account passwords are stored as one way encrypted hashes that cannot be reversed.
- Access to customer records is limited to Dr. Paul and anyone directly assisting with an order.
- Software, plugins, and security patches are kept current.
No method of transmitting or storing data online is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach ever affects your personal information, you will be notified promptly and told what happened and what to do.
9. Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can ask us to do any of the following:
- Access. Get a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct. Fix anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete. Have your information erased, except records we are legally required to keep, such as tax records for completed sales.
- Unsubscribe. Stop marketing email, either through the link at the bottom of any message or by emailing us.
- Object or restrict. Ask us to stop or limit a particular use of your information.
- Portability. Receive your information in a machine readable format.
Email Paulb@QualityBusinessPlan.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first, usually by confirming the email address on the order. Exercising any of these rights costs nothing and will never affect the price or service you receive.
Deleting your account deletes your download library. If you ask us to delete your data, you will lose the ability to re-download templates you have already purchased, and all sales are final. Download and save your files first.
10. State privacy rights
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, used, and disclosed; the right to delete it; the right to correct it; and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. Because we do not sell or share, there is no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link on this site. To make any other request, use the email address in section 9.
Other states
Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have comparable rights of access, correction, deletion, and portability, along with the right to appeal a denied request. Use the same contact method and say which state you live in.
Visitors from outside the United States
This store is operated from the United States and your information is processed there. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing are performance of a contract when you buy something, legitimate interests in running and securing the store, consent for marketing email and non essential cookies, and legal obligation for tax records. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
11. Children's privacy
This store sells business planning products to adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and it will be deleted promptly.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the store changes, as new tools are added, or as the law requires. The effective date at the top of the page always reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced with a notice on the store home page, and if you are on the email list, by email. Continuing to use the store after a change means you accept the updated policy.
This privacy policy works alongside the store Terms and Conditions, which cover purchases, delivery, revisions, and the refund policy.
Questions about your privacy?
Dr. Paul handles privacy requests personally. There is no ticket queue and no third party service in between.
